We're partnering with a well-established organisation that operates at national scale and is investing significantly in the future of its enterprise technology platform. With major SAP transformation initiatives underway, they're looking for an experienced SAP Functional Manager to build capability, lead a talented team and help drive the next phase of their digital journey.

This is an opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership position with genuine strategic influence, long-term career progression and the chance to make a lasting impact across a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of SAP Functional Consultants, Business Analysts and Product Specialists.
  • Oversee SAP functional delivery, application support, configuration and continuous improvement.
  • Define and deliver the SAP functional roadmap in line with business objectives.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and offshore delivery partners.
  • Ensure governance, quality and compliance across SAP delivery.
  • Collaborate with technical SAP teams while remaining accountable for functional delivery across multiple SAP modules.
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance business processes through SAP.

What we're looking for

  • Previous experience leading SAP Functional teams within a large enterprise environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • A broad understanding of SAP landscapes, ideally including SAP S/4HANA and multiple functional modules.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors and offshore teams.
  • Exposure to SAP transformation or enterprise change programmes.
  • The ability to engage senior stakeholders and translate business needs into successful SAP delivery.
  • Utilities or other highly regulated industry experience would be advantageous, but isn't essential.

Details

  • Salary: Up to £85,000 (depending on experience) + annual bonus + additional benefits
  • Location: Coventry (Hybrid)
