Westcon Group is seeking an experienced SAP GTS Manager to join our SAP Center of Excellence team.
This role is responsible for the end-to-end design, configuration, implementation, and support of the SAP Global Trade Services (GTS) module. You will serve as the functional and technical expert, acting as a critical bridge between business stakeholders in Global Trade, Logistics, and IT. Your primary objective is to optimize global trade processes, mitigate compliance risks, and ensure the seamless flow of goods across borders.
The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on expertise in GTS compliance processes, including Sanctioned Party List Screening, Embargo checks, and Legal Control, and is adept at translating complex business requirements into scalable and effective SAP solutions.
- Candidate should be based within travel distance from one of Westcon's European offices, no exceptions.
The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive functional and configuration expertise in the following areas:
GTS Compliance Management
- Sanctioned Party List (SPL):
- Expert configuration knowledge of SPL functionality, control settings, and variables.
- Hands-on experience with external list management, including the automation of the Descartes XML load.
- Ability to configure and manage delta screening and lead full database rescreening projects.
- Embargo and Legal Control:
- Knowledge of setting up Embargo screening based on legal regulations.
- Expertise in Legal Control setup, including the License Determination Strategy and configuration of license types.
- Strong understanding of US re-export rules.
- Familiarity with the setup and generation of commercial invoices and HTS update loads.
SAP Integration and Support
- SAP ECC and Cross-Module Integration:
- Very strong functional understanding of core business processes, specifically Order-to-Cash (OTC) and Procure-to-Pay (PTP), for comprehensive testing.
- Ability to run and execute end-to-end test scripts independently.
- Extensive knowledge of the key data tables in both GTS and ECC.
- GTS Archiving:
- Proven ability to manage and execute archiving projects, particularly for SPL audit trails.

Project and General Skills
- People Management
- This role is part of SAP Supply Ops team within our SAP CoE and it is required to manage offshore consultants in India.
- Documentation and Problem Solving:
- Able to set up clear, detailed functional specifications for both business descriptions and technical requirements of a change.
- Possess a structured approach and keen eye for detail, adhering strictly to established guidelines.
- Communication:
- Fluent in English (both spoken and written).
- Able to communicate effectively with business users on a non-technical, "user" level.
Must Have Skills
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on, practical SAP experience.
- Experience with SAP GTS 11
- Direct experience with SAP S/4HANA.
- Involvement in the migration of SAP GTS from an older version (Vx) to SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience supporting or leading global implementations across multiple regions.
Nice to Have Skills
- Prior experience with a wholesale company or distributor.
- Experience with electronic communication with customs and customs brokers.
