About the Role:
We are seeking an expert SAP MDG ABAP Technical Resource to join our team in Amersfoort. In this key role, you'll drive technical development and support for MDG Material domain. You’ll quickly diagnose and resolve issues, collaborate with clients and teams, and help ensure a successful project go-live.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-on Technical Development & Configuration:
- Perform expert-level technical configurations and ABAP development for SAP MDG, including Object-Oriented ABAP, BADIs, DQM, Enhancements, Web Services, to customize and extend MDG functionalities for Material and Business Partner domains.
- Design, configure, and develop complex business rules using BRF+ for data validation, derivation, and routing specific to Material master data.
- Support and extend Fiori/UI5 applications related to MDG for Material, ensuring seamless user experience.
- Implement and configure MDG data models, change request processes, and workflow customizations for Material.

Collaboration & Client Engagement:
- Work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
- Participate in client discussions as a technical expert, explaining technical solutions, challenges, and progress.
- Collaborate with architects and other developers to ensure technical designs are aligned with overall solution architecture and best practices.
Documentation & Quality Assurance:
- Create and maintain detailed technical design specifications, development documentation, and unit test plans.
- Ensure adherence to technical standards, coding guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability of developed solutions.

Required Skills & Experience:
Experience:
8-10 years of extensive SAP experience, with a minimum of 5+ years dedicated to hands-on SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) technical development.
Certifications:
- Highly Desirable: SAP MDG Certification.

- Quick Learner: Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire new technical skills and adapt to evolving project requirements and technologies.
- Problem Solver: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Client-Facing Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Strong leadership qualities, with the ability to guide technical teams, foster collaboration, and drive consensus.
