Job Description:

We’re seeking a highly specialised SAP MM / Procurement Functional Consultant to advise, configure, and maintain our global procurement and materials management fabric. In this role, you will be hands-on in executing our digital transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, ensuring that planned end-to-end implementation results are fully realised across our aviation engine manufacturing, maintenance, and design operations. Acting as a strategic functional advisor and configuration expert, you will implement a "Clean Core" architecture by driving Fit-to-Standard workshops, establishing robust inventory architectures, and deploying standard procurement solutions while ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Transition Strategy

• Business Advisory: Act as the trusted advisor to senior leadership to map high-level aviation sourcing and procurement goals into scalable SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement blueprints.
• Coexistence Support: Design temporary operational workarounds and data bridging strategies to maintain material flow continuity during phased SAP ECC to S/4HANA rollouts.
• Landscape Strategy: Evaluate legacy customization within SAP ECC and establish a roadmap to transition towards standard S/4HANA Materials Management and Sourcing functionalities.

Technical Execution & Governance

• Expert Configuration: Execute hands-on configuration of complex SAP MM modules including Organizational Structures (Plants, Storage Locations, Purchasing Orgs), Material Master, Business Partner (Vendor Master), and Source Lists.
• Workshop Facilitation: Lead and facilitate end-to-end blueprinting, scoping, and Fit-to-Standard workshops with cross-functional supply chain, procurement, and logistics teams.
• Value Realization: Own the functional delivery lifecycle to ensure that planned operational efficiencies, inventory optimizations, and cost savings are fully realised.

Functional & System Alignment

• Execution & Planning: Architect and configure the end-to-end processing of the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle, including Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, Goods Movements (MIGO), and Logistics Invoice Verification (MIRO).
• Inventory & Rotable Management: Define and build complex inventory strategies, leveraging standard SAP MM configurations to manage rotable engine components, pool assets, and high-value serialized spares.
• Process Integration: Align SAP MM configuration closely with Warehouse Management (WM / embedded EWM) for optimised material flow, Plant Maintenance (PM) for MRO material staging, Production Planning (PP) for material requirements planning (MRP), and Finance/Conting (FI/CO) for product costing and inventory valuation.
• Automation & Robotics: Collaborate with automation leads to integrate SAP WM/EWM via standard Task and Resource Management (TRM) or Material Flow Systems (MFS) with Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS), autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), and automated conveying machinery.
• Mobility Infrastructure: Configure, support, and extend warehouse operational workflows using standard RF scanning, mobile data entry solutions, and voice-directed picking technologies.
• Ecosystem Connection: Collaborate with integration teams to connect SAP MM with third-party enterprise platforms, supplier networks, and internal Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• MRO Subcontracting: Configure and optimize complex MRO subcontracting, refurbishment purchasing lifecycles, and external service management (ESM) for internal and vendor-managed engine repairs.
