SAP Project Manager (SD/PS)
We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager (SD/PS) to own projects solutions across our SAP landscape, acting as the Digital Solutions partner to our Commercial/Programmes (referred to as Programmes business function). In this role you will support the use of our existing ECC6 landscape while helping shape, and then maintain, the future S/4HANA solution.
Salary: up to £70,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification, as we approach S/4HANA go-live this will likely increase. The role will require regular travel to France and, on occasion, Italy.
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship.
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity:
MBDA is undergoing a major transformation programme migrating from a legacy SAP ECC6 system to SAP S/4HANA. The programme is taking place across MBDA UK, France and Italy presenting a unique opportunity to look at our processes and ways of working. This role will directly influence the future SD/PS solution employed by MBDA UK. The S/4HANA change in these areas is significant for MBDA UK and deep expertise in these areas is required.
In the UK, we are growing our SAP team and you will occupy a key position in this. The role will involve close collaboration with the multinational team as well as third party system integrators.
In this role you can expect to:
- Own SD configuration (order-to-cash process) and SAP Project System configuration and integration with FI/CO modules to support project planning, budgeting, and costing.
- Challenge custom development requests in SD and PS, encouraging standard SAP capability where possible.
- Work closely with other streams on integration topics, in particular, FI/CO, MM and GTS.
- Support business change across the Programmes Business function.
What we're looking for from you:
Essential Skills And Experience
- Demonstrable experience across both SAP ECC and S/4HANA.
- Experience on ECC to S/4HANA migrations and able to pre-empt issues proactively.
- Deep understanding on integration topics of SD & PS with areas such as FI/CO, GTS and MM.
- Ability to run your own projects and changes end-to-end.
- Ability to act as a business partner to Programmes, reviewing solution proposals.
- Able to operate within a formal change control process.

Desirable
- Experience of SAP Global Trade Services
- SAP Solution Architect experience
- Experience with data migration (with particular focus on SD/PS data – both Master and Transactional)
