SAP S/4HANA Order-to-Cash Transformation Manager

Career level: Manager (CL7) | Location: London / Manchester / Edinburgh | Practice: Finance Reinvention Partner (SAP)

Why this role

This role owns the Order-to-Cash workstream end to end on large-scale SAP S/4HANA finance transformation programmes, in front of the client — the full credit-to-cash cycle, from billing and collections through to how revenue is recognised. It's a role to become the finance design authority clients rely on across O2C, and to grow into the practice's go-to for getting revenue recognition right.

Accenture is a leading solutions and services company. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and to lead in the safe, widespread adoption of AI. We bring together our people, deep industry expertise and technology to deliver end-to-end outcomes for clients — and Finance is one of seven Reinvention Partners at the centre of that. Finance RP brings the CFO agenda to life for clients — stronger performance, sharper insight, and better control.

"Our clients want a partner that can help them reinvent—boldly, continuously and at speed… while continuously building the most client-focused, AI-enabled great place to work for our people—our Reinventors." — Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO

What you'll bring

  • Order-to-Cash expertise. Deep command of the credit-to-cash cycle in SAP S/4HANA finance: order and contract management, accounts receivable and billing integration (FI-AR), credit management, collections, dispute and deduction management, and cash application and clearing. You know how customer master data, profit-centre and reporting structures shape finance insight and control, and how O2C design flows through to working capital, cash flow and the close.
  • Revenue Recognition. Strong knowledge of how revenue is recognised across the O2C cycle — IFRS 15 and event-based revenue recognition — and how to align O2C process design to it so that billing, contracts and the recognition model hold together. You understand how that design lands in revenue and margin reporting, controls and revenue assurance.
  • Commercial and revenue models. A strong grasp of the commercial mechanics behind O2C — pricing, discounts, rebates and deductions — and how they play through to revenue, margin and cash. You read SAP SD through the finance and revenue lens: the parts of the sales and billing flow that determine the number finance has to stand behind.
  • Finance process context. Real Record-to-Report depth around the close, and a clear view of how O2C connects to financial close and controls, and to the adjacent finance processes it depends on.
  • Leading delivery. You lead the O2C workstream end to end — fit-to-standard, business process design, testing and deployment — as the primary finance design authority for the domain. You manage dependencies with adjacent finance processes, work closely with SAP delivery and integration teams while keeping ownership of the finance outcome, and lead functional teams across onshore and offshore delivery. You facilitate design forums with senior finance, sales and operational stakeholders, and keep programme leadership clear through structured status, issue management and decision recommendations.
  • Growing the practice. You contribute to how the practice grows — supporting proposals and bids, shaping O2C and revenue-recognition transformation approaches, and building reusable assets and points of view.
  • Ways of working. We're increasingly an AI-first delivery team — bringing agentic tooling and orchestration into how we design, analyse and deliver, with our people owning the judgement and the outcome. Experience of AI-augmented delivery is a real plus.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who you are

You take ownership and lead from the front. You build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and coordinate finance, sales and operational perspectives with confidence. You bring a collaborative leadership style and a value-led mindset — you can link O2C changes to better cash flow, fewer disputes and sharper revenue insight — and you develop the people around you. Running workshops, managing stakeholders and expectations, good judgement, critical thinking and clear decisions under pressure are second nature.

Things that set strong candidates apart: a track record (typically 7+ years) delivering O2C transformation on large-scale SAP S/4HANA finance programmes; experience aligning O2C process design to revenue recognition on complex, multi-entity or multi-country work; the confidence to lead senior client design discussions; and a professional finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent industry experience).

If you have most of this and the drive to build the rest, we want to hear from you — tell us what you'd bring.
