SAP S/4HANA Supply Chain Finance Transformation Manager
Career level: Manager (CL7)
Location: London / Manchester / Edinburgh
Practice: Finance Reinvention Partner (SAP)
Why this role
This role owns the supply-chain finance and product-costing workstream end to end on large-scale SAP S/4HANA finance transformations, in front of the client, as the finance design authority for how manufacturing and supply-chain activity turns into cost transparency and margin insight. It's a role to become the person clients rely on to make the cost model hold up — product cost, inventory value, and margin — and to grow into the design authority for our supply-chain finance work.
Accenture is a leading solutions and services company. Our strategy is to be the reinvention partner of choice for our clients and to lead in the safe, widespread adoption of AI. We bring together our people, deep industry expertise, and technology to deliver end-to-end outcomes for clients — and Finance is one of seven Reinvention Partners at the centre of that. Finance RP brings the CFO agenda to life for clients — stronger performance, sharper insight, and better control.
"Our clients want a partner that can help them reinvent—boldly, continuously and at speed… while continuously building the most client-focused, AI-enabled great place to work for our people—our Reinventors." — Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO
What you'll bring
Product costing and inventory valuation
Deep SAP S/4HANA product costing — standard, actual, and variance — and how the material ledger carries actual costs and inventory valuation through goods movements. You understand how cost of goods sold is built and analysed, and how a cost estimate holds together from raw material to finished goods in a real manufacturing environment.
Margin and profitability
Real depth in margin analysis and COPA / profitability — turning production and supply-chain activity into profitability insight that lines up with how the business and finance actually want to see it. You know where margin comes from, where it leaks, and how variances and cost drivers explain it.
Finance process context
A clear view of how supply-chain finance connects to the wider Record-to-Report close and reporting — period-end for manufacturing and supply-chain environments, profit-centre and reporting structures, inventory and production-related controls, and the integration between logistics and finance. You can read the trade-off between operational flexibility and finance standardisation, and design for both.
Leading delivery
You lead the supply chain finance workstream end to end — fit-to-standard, finance process design, testing, and deployment — as the finance design authority for the domain, keeping solutions business-led and scalable. You manage dependencies with adjacent finance and supply-chain areas, work alongside SAP delivery teams while retaining ownership of finance outcomes and margin insight, and lead functional teams across onshore and offshore delivery. You facilitate design workshops with finance, supply-chain, and operations stakeholders, and keep delivery on track through structured issue management, decision papers, and clear reporting.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You take ownership and lead from the front. You build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and coordinate finance, supply-chain, and operations perspectives with confidence. Good judgement, critical thinking, and clear decisions under pressure are second nature, and you're comfortable in complex, multi-workstream SAP transformation environments.
