Our ERP practice helps some of the largest global firms and most recognizable brands deliver value and business transformation enabled by digital ERP solutions and services. Our ERP services covering strategy, implementation, and innovation help clients deliver true value and achieve their transformation agenda.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP SD & Project Systems Functional Lead to drive business transformation initiatives enabled by SAP. This role will focus on shaping future-state business processes across Order-to-Cash and Project Lifecycle Management, ensuring alignment between business strategy, operational objectives, and technology capabilities.
The successful candidate will contribute towards while being an essential part of a team shaping process transformation, organizational change, and the adoption of best-practice ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business transformation initiatives across Sales, Commercial Operations, Project Delivery, and Finance functions.
- Define and drive future-state operating models aligned to strategic business objectives.
- Partner with business leadership teams to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and optimization.
- Facilitate executive workshops to define transformation vision, objectives, and success measures.
- Drive business readiness and adoption of new processes and ways of working.
Order-to-Cash Transformation
- Lead transformation of end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes including:
- Opportunity to Order
- Contract Management
- Sales Order Fulfilment
- Billing and Revenue Processes
- Customer Experience Improvements
- Assess current-state business processes and identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop process standards and governance frameworks across regions and business units.
Project Systems Transformation
- Lead SAP PS solution design.
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to project management and project accounting.
- Be able to advise on:
- Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
- Networks and Activities
- Milestones
- Project Budgeting
- Cost Planning
- Revenue Recognition
- Project Settlement
- Support project lifecycle processes from project creation through closure.
- Design and execute testing activities including SIT and UAT.
- Provide production support and issue resolution.

Project Lifecycle Transformation
- Drive improvements in project planning, governance, execution, financial control, and reporting.
- Partner with Project Management, PMO, Operations, and Finance teams to improve project performance and visibility.
- Define future-state project operating models and governance structures.
- Support transformation of project commercial management and project billing processes.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders and business leaders.
- Act as the bridge between business teams and SAP delivery teams.
- Translate business challenges into transformation opportunities and roadmap initiatives.
- Influence decision-making through data-driven recommendations and business cases.
Change Management & Adoption
- Lead change impact assessments and business readiness activities.
- Define communication, training, and adoption strategies.
- Ensure successful embedding of new ways of working across impacted business functions.
- Measure transformation outcomes and value realization.
Programme Delivery Support
- Support ERP and SAP transformation programmes.
- Ensure business requirements, process designs, and transformation objectives are clearly defined and aligned.
- Provide governance throughout design, testing, deployment, and adoption phases.
- Manage process-related risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
Requirements
A strategic transformation professional who understands how SAP capabilities support business outcomes, but whose primary strength lies in business process redesign, stakeholder engagement, operating model transformation, and change management.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- 10+ years of experience in business transformation, process improvement, or ERP-enabled transformation programmes.
- 10+ years of consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of Order-to-Cash and Project Lifecycle Management processes.
- Experience working on SAP-enabled transformation initiatives, particularly within Sales & Distribution and Project Systems environments.
- Demonstrated experience engaging with senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional transformation programmes.
- Strong workshop facilitation and process design skills.

Preferred Experience
- SAP S/4HANA transformation programme experience.
- Experience in consulting, business transformation, or operating model design roles.
- Experience within engineering, utilities, manufacturing, telecommunications, professional services, or project-centric industries.
- Familiarity with Agile, SAP Activate, or other transformation methodologies.
- Experience driving global process harmonization initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead functional teams and coordinate with cross-functional workstreams.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to solve complex business problems.
- Project-related mobility/willingness to travel
