SAP Solution Architect
Location: Hybrid 2 days onsite east midlands
Inside IR35 Rate: £620.00 - £680.00 pd
Clearance: BPSS
If you enjoy shaping complex transformations and bringing clarity to large-scale change, this is a great opportunity to own end-to-end solution architecture for a major SAP Payroll transformation programme. Our Client is looking for a confident architectural leader who can set direction, govern design, and help delivery teams align right through to build, test, and deployment.
What you'll be doing:
- Own end-to-end solution architecture for a large-scale SAP Payroll transformation, ensuring a coherent design across functional, technical, and integration layers
- Lead solution design decisions and provide architectural governance across the programme lifecycle (from discovery and process design through build, test, and deployment)
- Evaluate design options, manage trade-offs, and ensure alignment with clean core and enterprise architecture principles
- Define and oversee the integration landscape, including S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and third-party systems ensuring seamless data flows and interface designs
- Manage cross-workstream dependencies (functional, data, integration, security, testing) and act as the design authority across delivery teams
- Engage with senior stakeholders to present solution options, secure design sign-offs, and support programme governance forums

- Strong SAP solution architecture experience, with the ability to drive decisions and keep teams aligned
- Proven transformation delivery experience and solid architecture fundamentals
- The confidence to govern design across multiple delivery workstreams and influence at governance level
- Clear communication skills for presenting options and securing sign-offs with senior stakeholders
