Job Title: SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) Technical Consultant
Location: UK - Remote
Duration: 6 Month - Extendable
Employment Type: Contract - Inside IR 35
Role Summary
We are looking for an experienced SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) Technical Consultant to design, develop, and implement intelligent business process automation solutions using SAP Build Process Automation on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The consultant will automate workflows, develop RPA bots, integrate SAP and non-SAP applications, and support end-to-end process automation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automation solutions using SAP Build Process Automation (BPA).
- Build and configure workflows, approval processes, business rules, forms, and RPA bots.
- Analyse business requirements and identify automation opportunities.
- Integrate SAP BPA with SAP and third-party systems using REST APIs, OData, SAP BTP, and Integration Suite.
- Configure and administer SAP BPA environments.
- Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation.
- Monitor production automations and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams across S/4HANA, ECC, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, FI/CO, Procurement, and Supply Chain.
- Prepare technical documentation and support knowledge transfer.
- Participate in solution design, estimation, and Agile project delivery.

Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of overall SAP technical experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on SAP Build Process Automation (BPA) development.
- Strong experience with:
- SAP Build Process Automation
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Workflow Management
- SAP Intelligent RPA / BPA Bots
- Business Rules
- Process Monitoring & Visibility
- Experience with REST APIs, OData Services, JSON/XML, and Web Services.
- Knowledge of SAP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration (CPI), and API Management.
- Basic JavaScript scripting experience.
- Understanding of SAP security, roles, and authorisations.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills
- SAP certifications in SAP Build Process Automation, SAP BTP, or SAP Integration Suite.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery.
- Knowledge of low-code/no-code development platforms.
- Experience leading automation initiatives or mentoring junior consultants.
