ABOUT THE CLIENT
A leading organisation is seeking an experienced SAP SuccessFactors Compensation & Variable Pay Consultant to support the configuration, maintenance and ongoing optimisation of its SuccessFactors environment.
This is an opportunity to apply your specialist knowledge of compensation cycles, incentive programmes and advanced template configuration while working directly with client users and collaborating with HR and integration teams.
THE SAP SUCCESSFACTORS COMPENSATION & VARIABLE PAY CONSULTANT ROLE
As an SAP SuccessFactors Compensation & Variable Pay Consultant, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining Compensation, Variable Pay and Total Compensation functionality, alongside providing L2/L3 support and resolving technical and functional issues.
Responsibilities
- Configuring and maintaining SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay modules.
- Providing L2/L3 support, troubleshooting issues and resolving configuration defects.
- Configuring compensation worksheets, statements, Total Compensation templates, budgets, guidelines, eligibility rules and workflows.
- Designing and managing bonus plans, proration logic and business goal mapping for incentive programmes.
- Configuring advanced Compensation and Variable Pay templates through Provisioning.
- Designing route maps and approval workflows for compensation cycles.
- Linking performance management forms and objective schemas to compensation through rating sources.
- Building eligibility rules and guideline matrices based on performance, country and compa-ratio.
- Developing calculated columns using conditional logic, including IF/THEN/ELSE statements.
- Applying compensation functions such as toNumber, lookup and date formulas.
- Managing multi-currency tables and conversion rate dates.
- Designing budget groups and custom roll-up hierarchies.
- Collaborating with HR, integration teams and client stakeholders to ensure successful compensation cycles.

SAP SUCCESSFACTORS COMPENSATION & VARIABLE PAY ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Hands-on experience configuring SAP SuccessFactors Compensation and Variable Pay.
- Strong understanding of compensation processes, variable pay, bonus plans and incentive programmes.
- Advanced configuration experience with Compensation and Variable Pay templates through Provisioning.
- Experience configuring eligibility rules, guideline matrices, budgets, route maps and rating sources.
- Knowledge of compensation worksheets, statements, calculated columns and compensation functions.
- Experience with currency conversion, proration logic and budget group configuration.
- Proven experience providing L2/L3 support and troubleshooting SuccessFactors issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work directly with client users and HR/integration teams.
