Role Overview
In SAP SuccessFactors, a Provisioning role/user is typically a SAP partner consultant, implementation consultant, or system administrator who has access to the Provisioning environment (the back-end administration tool used to configure and manage SuccessFactors instances). According to SAP documentation, Provisioning is used to enable solutions, configure system settings, manage instances, and activate features that are not available in the regular Admin Center.
What does a SuccessFactors Provisioning Administrator do?
Typical responsibilities include:
- Instance Setup: Create and configure implementation, test, and production instances
- Feature Enablement: Turn on modules such as Employee Central, Recruiting, Onboarding, PMGM, Learning, etc.
- System Configuration: Configure company settings, email notifications, language packs, and global settings
