What to Expect

The SAP Supply Chain Solution Architect is responsible for shaping, designing and governing end-to-end SAP supply chain solutions across planning, procurement, and logistics, and integrated manufacturing and quality processes. The role ensures McLaren’s SAP landscape supports performance, standardisation, agility and S/4HANA transformation.

The role requires deep SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA supply chain expertise, with the ability to translate business requirements into integrated, scalable and supportable solutions aligned to SAP best practice, clean core principles and McLaren’s enterprise standards.

What You'll Do

Solution Design & Architecture

  • Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, logistics and quality leaders to understand objectives, pain points and process requirements.
  • Design end-to-end SAP supply chain solutions across planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, with manufacturing, quality and finance touchpoints.
  • Promote fit-to-standard and clean core, using SAP best practices, standard processes and through use of Fiori capabilities.
  • Develop solution blueprints, process designs, integration patterns, data flows, configuration principles and functional specifications.
  • Ensure designs address master data, reporting, security, controls, performance and supportability from the outset.

Migration & Modernisation

  • Assess the ECC6 supply chain landscape and define the S/4HANA migration approach, including readiness, simplification items, standardisation, custom code, integration and data impacts.
  • Provide guidance on S/4HANA supply chain capabilities, including embedded analytics, Fiori, MRP, inventory, logistics, manufacturing integration and automation opportunities.
  • Support transformation roadmaps that balance business value, operational risk, technical debt reduction and adoption readiness.

Governance & Standards

  • Ensure SAP supply chain solutions adhere to architecture, security, compliance, controls, performance and supportability standards.
  • Participate in design authorities and contribute to SAP governance, including design principles, decision records and exception management.
  • Maintain design consistency across projects, enhancements and AMS delivery, protecting the long-term SAP roadmap.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
