About the Role
We are seeking an SAP Tax SME for a 6-month contract to lead tax design across multiple S/4HANA transformations. With several projects moving from discovery to design, you will lead tax configuration and process design for a series of large-scale ERP migrations.
Requirements
- SAP S/4HANA: Deep expertise in tax process design and configuration.
- Withholding Tax: Strong, hands-on WHT knowledge in SAP - a key differentiator for this role, as parts of the indirect tax scope are now covered elsewhere in the programme.
- Indirect Tax/VAT: Strong background within complex, global ERP landscapes — "bread and butter".
- Broader Tax Process Expertise: Solid understanding of end-to-end tax processes beyond system configuration, with the credibility to lead design conversations with senior stakeholders.
- Execution: Ability to move beyond high-level design into functional build requirements.
- Nice to have: DRC and global digital reporting/e-invoicing experience is welcome but not a core requirement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
