About the job you're considering

Business transformation is accelerating through digital innovation, cloud adoption, automation, and AI. As organisations modernise their SAP estates, they need technical leaders who can combine deep SAP expertise with strategic thinking and large-scale transformation delivery. At Capgemini, we are delivering some of the UK's most complex SAP transformation programmes across the public and private sectors.

Hybrid working

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

If you are successfully offered this position, you will go through a series of pre-employment checks, including:

  • identity, nationality (single or dual) or immigration status,
  • employment history going back 3 continuous years, and
  • unspent criminal record check (known as Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Authority to guide technical direction across a large-scale SAP Tax & Revenue Management landscape, working with architects, delivery teams, and client stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient, and future-ready SAP solutions.

This role is ideal for experienced SAP leaders who enjoy solving complex challenges, shaping Strategic Technology Leadership, and developing high-performing technical teams.

As SAP Technical Authority, you will combine deep technical expertise with business focus, big-picture thinking, and collaborative ownership to shape Strategic Technology Leadership across a major SAP transformation programme. You will influence enterprise architecture decisions, guide delivery teams, and help clients maximize the value of their SAP investment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and delivery of SAP technical solutions across WRICEF objects within complex SAP Tax & Revenue Management environments.
  • Act as the technical authority for SAP development, overseeing Client-Centric Solution Ownership, Engineering Excellence, quality, performance, and overall Collaborative Governance.
  • Collaborate with architects, functional leads, and business stakeholders to define scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Drive adoption of modern SAP capabilities including S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and cloud extension approaches.
  • Lead and mentor development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Conduct design reviews, architecture assurance, and code quality governance activities.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes for clients and stakeholders.
  • Support solution shaping, Strategic Technology Leadership, client workshops, and business development activities.
  • Champion best SAP practice and continuous improvement across the SAP capability.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
