SAP Technical Specialist
We are looking for an experienced SAP Technical Specialist to design, develop, and support custom SAP solutions across our S/4HANA landscape. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on ABAP development experience combined with exposure to modern SAP technologies including Fiori/UI5, RAP/CAP, BTP, and BW/4HANA, and can work across both traditional and cloud-native SAP development paradigms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy custom WRICEF objects (Workflows, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms) in an S/4HANA environment
- Develop and optimize ABAP programs, including performance tuning for S/4HANA (CDS views, AMDP, native HANA optimizations)
- Build and maintain custom applications using RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model) and CAP (Cloud Application Programming Model)
- Develop and extend Fiori/UI5 applications; build and maintain BSP and WebDynpro ABAP applications for legacy or transitional needs
- Design and develop BW ABAP routines, extractors, and data models; support BW/4HANA migrations and enhancements
- Develop, extend, and deploy applications on SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), including integration scenarios (CPI, Integration Suite) as needed
- Explore and implement use cases leveraging SAP Joule (AI copilot) for intelligent process automation and enhanced user experiences
- Collaborate with functional teams (SD, MM, FI/CO, BW, etc.) to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, providing root-cause analysis and long-term fixes
- Participate in S/4HANA upgrade, migration, and greenfield/brownfield implementation projects
- Create and maintain technical documentation (specs, data flow diagrams, unit test cases)

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience in ABAP development, including OOP ABAP, and WRICEF object development
- Solid experience working in an S/4HANA landscape (on-premise or cloud)
- Experience with BW ABAP (extractors, transformations, routines) and BW/4HANA
- Practical experience building UI applications using BSP, WebDynpro ABAP, and modern SAP Fiori/UI5
- Working knowledge of RAP and CAP frameworks for modern app development
- Exposure to SAP BTP services (CAP, Integration Suite, Extension Suite, or similar)
- Awareness/exposure to SAP Joule or generative AI capabilities within SAP is a strong plus
- Strong understanding of ABAP performance optimization, debugging, and code quality standards
- Familiarity with SAP development tools: Eclipse-based ADT, SAP GUI, Business Application Studio (BAS)
- Good understanding of integration technologies (OData, REST/SOAP, IDocs) is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with functional consultants and business stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications
- SAP certification(s) in ABAP, S/4HANA, or BTP development
- Experience in end-to-end SAP implementation or migration projects
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers or leading small technical teams
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Fiori Elements and SAP Fiori Launchpad configuration
- Experience with SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (CALM)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices in an SAP context (CTS+, gCTS)
