Trainee SAP Consultant – Consulting & Development

Arvato Hams Hall, Colehill (Travel To Other Sites Essential)

Arvato UK

40 hours per week Monday to Friday

£30,000pa starting Salary.

At Arvato, we're looking for a Trainee SAP Consultant – Consulting & Development to join our team and develop the skills needed to become an SAP specialist.

This is an exciting opportunity to build a career in one of the world's leading enterprise software systems, gaining hands-on experience in both the technical and business-facing aspects of SAP.

You don't need to be an SAP expert already, but definitely have a basic level of understanding on the system. We're looking for someone with the right aptitude, curiosity and enthusiasm to learn.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside experienced SAP professionals, you'll gain exposure to how SAP systems support our logistics and supply chain operations.

As your knowledge and confidence develop, you'll get involved in:

  • Supporting the configuration, development and continuous improvement of SAP systems.
  • Learning how SAP supports key business processes across our warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Assisting with the analysis of business requirements and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Supporting SAP development activities, including learning about programming, system enhancements and integrations.
  • Investigating system issues, troubleshooting problems and helping identify effective solutions.
  • Supporting system testing, documentation and implementation of new functionality.
  • Working closely with IT, operational teams and business stakeholders to understand their requirements.
  • Contributing to projects focused on improving processes, efficiency and system performance.
  • Developing your understanding of SAP consulting, development and best practices through practical experience and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

We're interested in people who are naturally curious, enjoy working with technology and have the potential to develop into a technical SAP specialist.

You might be a recent graduate, someone with an IT or technical background or an individual looking to take the next step into enterprise systems.

It would be great if you have:

  • A degree, qualification or practical experience in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Information Systems or a related subject.
  • Some exposure to programming languages such as Java, SQL or similar.
  • An understanding of ERP systems or business processes.
  • Previous experience or knowledge of SAP.
  • A logical, methodical approach to understanding and resolving problems.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your learning.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
