SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) Lead Consultant
Rate: GBP 440/day
3 days onsite
Location: WORCESTERSHIRE
Role Summary
Lead SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) implementation, upgrade validation, testing, and business process transformation initiatives. Responsible for driving the TM workstream, ensuring successful delivery of transportation planning, freight execution, settlement, optimisation, and seamless integration with logistics and finance processes. Accountable for end-to-end coordination with cross-functional teams, project leadership, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the SAP TM stream, ensuring successful delivery of project objectives, timelines, and business outcomes.
- Design, configure, and validate SAP TM processes including Transportation Planning, Carrier Selection, Freight Order Management, Freight Execution, Freight Settlement, and Transportation Optimisation.
- Perform post-upgrade validation, SIT, UAT, regression testing, defect management, and production support activities.
- Ensure seamless integration between SAP TM and SAP EWM, SD, MM, FI/CO, GTS, Logistics Execution, and external carrier systems.
- Validate freight cost calculation, charge management, settlement, invoicing, and transportation analytics processes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to define requirements, drive solution design, and implement industry best practices.
- Support cutover, go-live, hypercare, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coordination across project teams and client stakeholders.

- Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM).
- Deep knowledge of Transportation Planning, Freight Execution, Freight Settlement, Carrier Management, Route Optimisation, and Logistics Processes.
- Experience in SAP TM implementations, upgrades, and transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of integration with EWM, SD, MM, FI/CO, and GTS.
- Experience in testing, defect resolution, stakeholder management, and team leadership.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Experience: 10+ years SAP experience with significant expertise in SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management (TM) and leading end-to-end TM workstreams.
