Role Description
The Sash Window Restoration Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coventry. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Assessing the condition of sash windows
- Carrying out restoration, repairs, and draught-proofing
- Ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards
- Removing and refitting sashes
- Replacing damaged timber and glazing
- Applying appropriate sealants
- Adjusting mechanisms for smooth operation
- Identifying and mitigating water damage
- Supporting treatment related to invasive species affecting timber
- Keeping work areas clean and organized

Qualifications
- Ability to assess and address Water Damage with applied Water Damage Restoration practices.
- Awareness of Invasive Species that affect timber and windows, and skills in appropriate mitigation or referral.
- Strong Communication skills for coordinating with colleagues and interacting with clients on-site.
- Experience with damage Mitigation, including preventing further deterioration of window structures.
- Previous experience in sash window or general carpentry/joinery work is highly beneficial.
- Comfort using hand and power tools safely, with a solid understanding of basic construction and repair techniques.
- Ability to work at height, follow health and safety procedures, and handle physical tasks such as lifting and manual handling.
- Reliable transportation to the Coventry site and surrounding job locations, and willingness to work regular full-time hours.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and readiness to learn from experienced technicians.
