Job Family: Providing - CBG3
Salary: £25,185 per annum pro rata
Hours: 2 hours per week, plus attendance at relevant CPD and meetings (term-time only) - We are recruiting for two positions (one at each location), although applications from candidates wishing to work across both centres are welcomed.
Location:
Biggleswade Satellite Centre – Mondays, 3:45pm - 5:45pm
Leighton Linslade Music Centre, Vandyke Upper School, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 3DY – Thursdays, 3:45pm - 5:45pm
Contract: Fixed - Permanent

About the Role

Inspiring Music is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Satellite Centre Administrators to support the smooth running of our after-school music centres. You will play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming and well-organised environment for young musicians, acting as the first point of contact for students, parents, carers and tutors.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a small part-time role within their local community. It may also suit an existing Central Bedfordshire Council employee, a member of staff from one of our host schools, or someone with experience in education, administration or youth work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Welcoming and registering students attending the centre.
- Ensuring the safe arrival, collection and departure of participants.
- Acting as the centre's designated first aider and providing first aid support when required.
- Maintaining accurate attendance and administrative records.
- Supporting tutors with online lesson administration where needed.
- Providing a friendly and professional point of contact for students, parents/carers, tutors and visitors.
- Using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and SpeedAdmin (training provided).
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately.
- Responding to enquiries and handling telephone communications.
- Attending relevant training, meetings and professional development activities.

What We're Looking For
Essential
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of administration and record keeping.
- Confidence using IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and use initiative.
- A positive and welcoming approach when working with children, families and colleagues.
- Understanding of the importance of safeguarding.
- Willingness to undertake and maintain an approved First Aid qualification.
Desirable
- Current Schools First Aid qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working in education, music, youth work or community settings.
- Experience using SpeedAdmin or similar systems.
- Knowledge of safeguarding practices within children's services or education.
