Project Engineer – Satellite Ground Segment / Ground Station

Overview
An exciting opportunity to join a leading organisation in the space and satellite sector, supporting the deployment of advanced Ground Control Segment solutions for customers across the UK. This role is ideal for a Systems Engineer looking to work on cutting-edge satellite operations and ground segment technologies in a customer-facing project environment. We're looking for a Systems Engineer with a degree in Telecommunications, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline, who has an interest in the space sector and satellite operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and integrate Satellite Control Centre software solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation and customer deliverables.
- Install, configure, and validate systems in both internal and customer environments.
- Support customer deployments, including occasional travel to customer sites.
- Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Skills
- Experience with Ground Control Segment systems, ideally Satellite Control Centres.
- Understanding of satellite operations and end-to-end ground segment solutions.
- Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash) to support configuration and automation tasks.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Ability to understand and contribute to complex solutions involving multiple integrated subsystems.

Essential Requirements
- UK citizen with eligibility to obtain the required Security Clearance to work within classified environments.
- Willingness to travel within the UK as required to support customer deployments.
