Yorkshire Eyewear - Knaresborough
Are you friendly, organised and great with people? Do you enjoy making patients feel welcome and being part of a close-knit team? We’re looking for a Saturday Customer Service Administrator to join our friendly team at Yorkshire Eyewear, with the possibility of future additional days for the right person.
About Yorkshire Eyewear
We’re a friendly, professional and independent opticians, providing quality eye care to patients of all ages.
From designer frames and contact lenses to advanced lens technology and expert optometric care, we pride ourselves on providing an excellent, personal service to both our NHS and private patients.
- Our practices: Howden & Knaresborough
- Working days: Saturdays
- Hours: 9.00am to 4.00pm
- Salary: To be discussed dependent on age and experience

What will you be doing?
You’ll be one of the friendly faces our patients see when they walk through the door. You’ll help make sure the practice runs smoothly and that every patient receives a warm, professional welcome.
Your role will include:
- Welcoming and booking patients into the practice
- Answering telephone calls professionally
- Making and managing appointments
- Preparing NHS paperwork
- Completing general administration and keeping records up to date
- Managing contact lens trial and stock information
- Chasing jobs and notifying patients when collections are ready
- Supporting the wider team during busy periods
- Helping to keep the practice clean, tidy and welcoming
- Preparing the practice for the following day
What are we looking for?
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is friendly, reliable and professional, with a genuine passion for providing great customer service.

You’ll ideally have:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good administration and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- A keen eye for detail
- Confidence using computers and everyday software
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A positive, helpful and professional attitude
Previous experience in optics is welcomed but not essential - we’re more interested in finding the right person to join our team.
