Role summary
We are looking for a strategic, business-focused Business Analyst to take complex programme information and turn it into clear, actionable insight and executive-ready outputs. This is an independent role for a self-starter who can work with minimal direction, build their own understanding of a programme, and shape what they find into a compelling narrative for senior audiences.
This is not a technical, systems or IT Business Analyst position.
Key responsibilities
- Analyse programme information from multiple sources and synthesise it into clear, concise insight
- Identify key themes, risks, dependencies and opportunities, and articulate what they mean for the business
- Develop presentations, briefing packs and executive-level materials that communicate complexity simply
- Prepare senior stakeholders with accurate, well-structured briefings to support decision-making
- Work proactively with programme teams and stakeholders to gather information, test assumptions and validate findings
- Take ownership of your own workload, priorities and deliverables with a high degree of self-sufficiency
- Use data and analysis where available to support recommendations and strengthen insight

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
