Job Title: SC Cleared Data Protection Solution Architect
Location: Telford
Duration: 6-9 months with possible extension
Rate: Up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company
Must be willing and eligible to go through the SC Clearance process
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Solution Architect to join the Service Operations team within one of our clients accounts. Service Operations forms part of the wider Hybrid Delivery function, which is responsible for delivering business and operational services across Managed Services and Applications, Multi-Cloud Services and Networks, Service Operations, Service Management and Security, and Service Futures and Optimisation.
Due to increased project demand, particularly relating to the Data Centre Exit Programme, an additional Data Protection Solution Architect is required to support the successful delivery of key customer initiatives. This is a business-critical, customer-funded role that will help maintain service quality, support high-profile customer workloads, and ensure the continued success of operational and project-based activities across the account.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect data protection solutions to support business and customer requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on data protection technologies, strategies, and best practices.
- Support the delivery of the Data Centre Exit Programme and other strategic transformation initiatives.
- Work closely with project teams, service operations, security, infrastructure, and customer stakeholders.
- Ensure data protection solutions align with operational, security, compliance, and business objectives.
- Contribute to service design, implementation, and continuous improvement activities.
- Support the ongoing availability, resilience, and protection of critical customer workloads.
- Participate in technical governance and solution assurance processes.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation and solution designs.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a focus on Data Protection technologies and services.
- Strong understanding of enterprise backup, recovery, archive, and data protection strategies.
- Experience delivering infrastructure and transformation projects within large, complex environments.
- Ability to engage effectively with technical teams, project stakeholders, and customers.
- Strong documentation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working within operational service environments while supporting project delivery.
- Knowledge of security, compliance, and governance requirements relating to data protection.

Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting large government or regulated-sector accounts.
- Exposure to data centre migration, transformation, or exit programmes.
- Understanding of hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Knowledge of service management and operational best practices.
