SC Cleared Software Support Engineer
£600-£650 per day - Inside IR35 - 6-month contract - Onsite in Stratford - Willing to go through DV Clearance
iO Associates are looking for an experienced Application & Infrastructure Engineer to join a specialist team supporting highly sensitive, business-critical systems within a national operational environment.
This is a broad technical role covering application support, infrastructure, development and incident management, offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to work across a constantly evolving technology landscape.
What you'll be doing:
- Build, enhance and support critical bespoke applications, contributing to application design, development and ongoing maintenance.
- Manage Linux and Windows infrastructure, including databases, virtualised environments and system health monitoring.
- Investigate and resolve application and infrastructure issues, ensuring system stability, performance and availability.

What we're looking for:
- Strong experience with Red Hat-based Linux / CLI
- Software development experience, ideally with Python
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
- Windows Server experience
- Good understanding of software development principles
- Experience supporting applications and infrastructure within complex environments
Desirable:
- Bash

- NodeJS / TypeScript / React
- Golang
- Elastic
The opportunity:
You'll work closely with technical and operational teams supporting systems where reliability and resilience are critical. The role offers a varied mix of application development, infrastructure, troubleshooting and operational support, rather than focusing on one specific technology.
