Security Clearance
Candidates must hold active UK Security Check (SC) Clearance or be eligible and willing to obtain and maintain SC Clearance. Due to the nature of the work, successful applicants will be required to satisfy government security screening requirements.
About the Role
AgileSource are seeking an experienced Test Analyst to support the testing of a diverse portfolio of applications, including endpoint-delivered applications, cloud-hosted solutions, re-platformed legacy systems, and SaaS platforms.
This role is ideally suited to someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, can apply pragmatic and risk-based testing techniques, and is focused on delivering quality outcomes within challenging timescales. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing designs, creating effective test scenarios, executing System Integration Testing (SIT), and working closely with technical teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse design documentation to derive testable conditions, scenarios, and expected outcomes.
- Create clear, concise, and maintainable manual test scripts using appropriate tooling such as Excel and test management platforms.
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, risks, and non-testable elements within solution designs.
- Execute System Integration Testing (SIT) across multiple applications and environments.
- Support end-to-end testing activities where required.
- Apply risk-based testing approaches, balancing testing coverage against delivery timelines and project priorities.
- Perform targeted regression testing based on impact assessments and change scope.
- Accurately record test results, defects, and supporting evidence, including detailed reproduction steps.
- Maintain test artefacts and documentation within test management and defect tracking tools.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, architects, business analysts, SMEs, and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and design intent.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
