Test Engineer
AgileSource Ltd is seeking a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to join our growing delivery team. We are looking for an individual who can contribute immediately to the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions within fast-paced Agile environments.
Contract Rate: £350.00 P.D (Inside IR35)
Permanent Salary: £45,000 - £65,000
This opportunity is available on either a permanent or contract basis and would suit a proactive testing professional with a strong background in both manual and automated testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain and execute comprehensive test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, system and regression testing across complex software solutions.
- Identify, document and track defects, working closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure timely resolution.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of test automation frameworks and automated test suites.
- Conduct API testing to validate system integrations and service functionality.
- Create and maintain test scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary Agile teams, contributing to sprint planning, refinement and retrospectives.
- Promote quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in software testing and quality assurance.
- Proven experience across:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Regression Testing
- Experience creating and executing detailed test plans, test scenarios and test cases.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong API testing experience.
- Scripting experience for test automation and validation activities.
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Exposure to cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of performance or non-functional testing.
- Relevant testing certifications (ISTQB or equivalent).
