Senior Python Developer - Government Unit
Day rate: £650-£675, Inside IR35
Contract: 6 months
Working arrangement: London - Once a month onsite
Clearance: Active SC Clearance is preferred but they will consider lapsed
The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer to join a multidisciplinary team within a Government Cyber Unit, helping to develop and protect services that are critical to the public.
You'll be working as part of a developer team of around 15 people, within a wider team of approximately 50. This is a role for someone who is comfortable working independently while also actively contributing to team discussions, sharing ideas and constructively challenging others when appropriate.

Essential Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong professional experience with Python.
- Experience with Python web frameworks, ideally Django.
- Strong knowledge of modern development tools, including Docker, Git and GitHub.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience deploying containerised applications.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, particularly GitHub Actions and/or AWS CodeBuild/CodePipeline.
- An understanding of cybersecurity and secure-by-design software development.
