A Contract SCADA/EMS specialist required to lead testing, integration and deployment across complex electricity transmission and distribution environments, working closely with utilities, system integrators and technical delivery teams.

Day Rate: £550–£600pd
IR35 Status: Inside
Travel: 4 days a week in Woking
Duration: 6 months
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance or eligible for SC Clearance
Responsibilities:
- We’re looking for an SCADA/EMS specialist to support the implementation, testing and deployment of control system solutions across complex Transmission and Distribution environments.
- Lead functional, non-functional, integration and acceptance testing, developing comprehensive test scenarios and cases to validate SCADA/EMS platforms against business, operational and technical requirements.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise SCADA/EMS platforms used within electricity networks is essential, including configuration of telecontrol, automation, system tracing, graphical/symbol design and alarm management functionality.
- Experience across the wider SCADA technology stack, including application, database, reporting, front-end processor, historian and proxy/server components, as well as integration with external enterprise applications and operational interfaces.
- Strong knowledge of power systems and OT environments, including IEC 101/104, IEC 61850, GI 74, NERC CIP, SCADA data flows, network modelling/cartography and Windows/Linux server environments.
- Work closely with utilities, system integrators, Product Owners, SCADA SMEs and technical delivery teams in Agile environments, using tools such as JIRA/XRAY to manage testing, defects, risks and delivery.
