Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Scaffolder role based in St Helens. The Scaffolder will erect, alter, and dismantle scaffolding structures for domestic and commercial projects in line with design specifications and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, assembling and securing scaffolding components, performing safety checks, and ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations and company procedures. The role involves working closely with site teams and supervisors, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and reporting any hazards or issues promptly. The Scaffolder will also be expected to follow method statements, use appropriate fall protection, and contribute to a positive, safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

- Strong practical experience in Scaffolding, including erecting, modifying, and dismantling structures in domestic and commercial settings.
- Competence in Working at Height and Fall Protection, with a clear understanding of safe work practices and use of PPE.
- Experience working in Confined Space environments and awareness of associated safety procedures (desirable).
- Valid CSCS card or equivalent construction site safety certification.
- Good physical fitness and the ability to handle manual handling tasks safely.
- Knowledge of relevant scaffolding regulations and industry standards (e.g., TG20 or equivalent guidance).
- Ability to read and follow scaffolding plans, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a reliable and punctual work ethic.
- Previous experience in a similar scaffolding role; formal scaffolding qualifications or apprenticeship completion are an advantage.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel to sites across Greater Manchester, Merseyside, and surrounding areas is beneficial.
