Scarefest Attraction Frontline Lead

Location: Alton Towers Resort

We are currently recruiting for Scarefest Attraction Front Line Leads to join us at the Alton Towers Resort for Scarefest 2026!

You will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our Scarefest Attractions and venues by coordinating a team of employees, focusing on safety, whilst ensuring that they are operating at optimum capacity and that guest satisfaction is being exceeded.

This role will keep you busy and will therefore require enthusiastic and experienced individuals who are passionate about events here at the Alton Towers Resort.

If you are a great problem solver, take initiative and can deal with large numbers of both employees and guests simultaneously, then this might be the perfect job for you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Training and assessing of employees working within your attraction
  • Maintain accurate records of all training and assessments completed
  • Liaising with other departments such as technical, construction and costume to ensure a smooth line of communication
  • Ensure compliance with insurance, legal and health and safety obligations
  • Coordinating a team of front of house Scarefest Attraction Hosts
  • Provide ongoing support and mentoring to our Scarefest Attraction Hosts
  • Proactively handling any arising issues as well as troubleshooting any on the day problems
  • Monitoring and analysing throughput data
  • Monitoring and analysing KPI data and guest satisfaction
  • Supporting crowd management, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone
  • Engage with guests, answer queries, and provide a high level of customer service

Contracts for this role will run from August 2026 until early November 2026.

Candidates must be over the age of 18 years old to be considered for this position.

Please note that while you are applying for a role within a specific Scarefest department, you may be required to support additional departments based on operational needs. These could include Crowd control, Retail, Sales & Admissions, Car Parks & Rides & Attractions. Flexibility is essential, and you may be scheduled in alternative areas at certain times during the season.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Due to the nature of this role we can only accept applications from candidates 18 and over
  • Flexible availability - We are looking for candidates who can work 5 out of 7 days
  • Has excellent organisation and coordination skills
  • Experience in training and assessing is required
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, able to deliver clear instructions and feedback
  • Understanding of Key Performance Indicators and throughputs
  • Ability to multitask and deal with high stress situations
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • A strong sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the event’s success
  • Can work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment, including in the dark
