PLANNER / SCHEDULER
Location: Pinxton, Derbyshire
Employment: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
HVL Solutions Ltd is a leading specialist in valve and pipeline maintenance, delivering essential services across the UK water and gas industries.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an organised and proactive Planner/Scheduler to join our busy operations team at our Pinxton office.
The role will involve:
- Planning and scheduling daily workloads for our field-based engineers
- Coordinating labour, vehicles, equipment and materials
- Liaising with customers, supervisors and operational managers
- Monitoring job progress and responding quickly to changes or emergencies
- Ensuring engineers receive the correct job information, documentation and site requirements
- Updating planning systems, trackers and customer portals
- Reviewing completed work and supporting the timely submission of reports
- Rescheduling suspended or incomplete jobs
- Helping to maximise productivity while maintaining safety, quality and customer service standards
- Providing clear daily updates to the management team

The successful candidate will:
- Have previous experience in planning, scheduling, logistics or operational coordination
- Be highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Be confident using Microsoft Office, planning systems and spreadsheets
- Work well independently and as part of a wider operational team
- Have experience within utilities, engineering, construction or field services—although this is desirable rather than essential
