Location: Glasgow/Hybrid
Salary: Up to £27,500, dependent on experience.

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheduler to join STV’s Audience, Video & Technology team on a 12 month fixed term basis covering a period of maternity leave. Reporting to the Head of Scheduling & Planning, you will be responsible for TV schedule planning for STV using dedicated scheduling systems. In addition, you will ensure schedules are accurate, delivered to deadlines and are compliant with applicable licence and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic scheduling of all STV programmes, promotions and sponsorship.
- Compile and deliver transmission schedules, ensuring compliance with STV licence requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and trackers relating to regional programme output.
- Analysis of Ofcom minutage tracker, identifying any potential issues and recommending timely corrective action.
- Produce weekly TV listings information to meet deadlines.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with ITV scheduling, planning and presentation.
- Maintain clear and effective workflows with relevant internal departments.
- Assist in any other aspects of the work of the company as reasonably required.

Skills and Experience
- Demonstrable experience of programme scheduling, programme ratings and their relationship to scheduling requirements, gained in a broadcast environment, is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
- High level of self-initiative and the ability to work accurately to meet the demands of a fast-paced working environment.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- A positive and proactive approach, with the determination to overcome challenges and deliver results.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn and use new packages including scheduling systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, assess options and recommend appropriate courses of action.
