Temp-to-Perm Opportunity contract with a local Authority
Umbrella - £20.51 per hour
Job Purpose
As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling responsive repairs and maintenance appointments, ensuring operatives are deployed efficiently and customers receive a high-quality service. You will act as a key point of contact between residents, operatives, and the repairs team to ensure appointments are effectively managed and completed within service targets.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Schedule and allocate responsive repair and maintenance appointments.
- Coordinate work diaries and operative workloads.
- Ensure repairs are assigned efficiently to maximise productivity.
- Liaise with residents, operatives, contractors, and supervisors.
- Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling.
- Monitor job progress and update scheduling systems accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide updates on repair appointments.
- Support the delivery of key performance targets and service standards.
- Work closely with repairs and maintenance teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Escalate scheduling conflicts, delays, and operational issues where required.
- Ensure all systems and databases are updated accurately and in a timely manner.

Essential Experience Required
- Previous experience as a Scheduler, Repairs Planner, Resource Scheduler, Works Planner, or similar role.
- Experience scheduling repairs or maintenance works.
- Experience within Housing Repairs, Property Maintenance, Facilities Management, or Responsive Repairs environments.
- Experience delivering a front-line customer-focused service.
- Experience working within a housing management or maintenance environment.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
- Strong IT and database management skills.
- Experience working closely with tenants, residents, or customers.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills.

Essential Qualifications Required
- GCSE/O-Level standard education or equivalent.
- Right to Work in the UK.
Additional Information to Note
- Working hours: 35 hours per week.
- Location: Unit 11, The Tramsheds, Coomber Way, Croydon, CR0 4TQ.
- Reason for Hire: Recruitment Vacancy.
