Department

Sapphire Utility Solutions, a Lanes Group Company, specializes in multiple divisions. Customer Solutions Plus (CSP), a joint venture between Sapphire Utility Solutions and Network Plus, supports Severn Trent Water in delivering essential wastewater network services across the region. The contract includes reactive repair and maintenance, sewer lining and patching, CCTV inspections, jetting and cleansing activities, minor civil works, and environmental improvement programs. The Team plays a vital role in supporting network performance through pollution prevention, storm overflow reduction, infiltration investigations, and AMP8 delivery programs. They are committed to improving environmental outcomes and maintaining a safe, reliable, and efficient wastewater network for customers and communities.

Purpose of the Role

As a Works Scheduler, you will be responsible for effectively planning and coordinating work of our Lining and Patching teams throughout the Severn Trent Water region. Our Lining and Patching teams help to maintain the very busy sewer networks that run for miles beneath us; therefore, this is a varied and busy role—organization and the ability to multitask is key! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly, dedicated team situated in our modern and welcoming office in Derby.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
