Location: Caernarfon LL55 2BD

Pay: Competitive, depending on experience.

Job Description

Based in Caernarfon with travel to other company locations as required.

Full-time, Permanent | Minimum 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced scheduling professional with a proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced operational environments?

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Scheduler to join our growing team. This is a key role within the business, responsible for planning, coordinating and optimising operational activities to ensure projects and service delivery commitments are met safely, efficiently and on time.

Working closely with management, operational teams, contractors and local authorities, you will act as a subject matter expert in scheduling and resource planning. You will be trusted to manage complex and business-critical workloads with a high degree of autonomy, providing guidance and support to colleagues while helping to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning, scheduling and monitoring of daily operational activities to ensure delivery against deadlines, service targets and business objectives.
  • Independently manage complex scheduling requirements across multiple projects, teams and locations.
  • Analyse resource requirements and proactively identify potential constraints, risks and operational challenges.
  • Resolve scheduling conflicts and critical issues, escalating only where necessary.
  • Work closely with line management to optimise workforce utilisation and improve operational performance.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting to support business and client requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve scheduling processes, systems and workflows, contributing to business-wide efficiencies.
  • Support, mentor and share best practice with colleagues, helping to develop capability across the team.
  • Contribute to establishing and maintaining high standards of operational planning and scheduling excellence.

About You

We're looking for a highly experienced and consistently high-performing professional who:

  • Has significant experience in scheduling, planning, coordination or operational resource management
  • Demonstrates exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Is recognised for delivering accurate, high-quality work with minimal supervision
  • Can confidently manage exceptionally complex, specialist or business-critical tasks independently
  • Possesses excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Can effectively prioritise competing demands in a fast-paced environment
  • Supports, mentors and develops others within the team
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies
  • Has strong IT and administration skills
  • Holds a full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
  • Has the right to work in the UK

This role is primarily office-based in Caernarfon and requires regular onsite attendance. Hybrid and remote working are not available for this position.
