Scheduler

Business Unit: 5065 - Gloucestershire

Location: Cannop

Ringway is looking for a highly organised and proactive Scheduler to join our team in Gloucester, supporting the delivery of highway maintenance and repair activities across the contract.

This is a pivotal role within the operational team, responsible for coordinating reactive and planned works, ensuring resources are effectively deployed, and helping deliver a high-quality service to our client and the travelling public.

Working closely with Supervisors, Operational Teams and Client representatives, you will schedule repair and maintenance activities, monitor work progress, and ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timescales.

You'll play a key role in balancing workloads, responding to changing priorities, and maintaining accurate records to support performance reporting.

Duties

  • Schedule and coordinate reactive and planned highway maintenance works.
  • Allocate resources and monitor work completion against programme requirements.
  • Liaise with operational teams, supervisors and client representatives regarding work schedules and priorities.
  • Ensure work orders and job records are accurately maintained within management systems.
  • Monitor performance, identify scheduling conflicts and support resolution of operational issues.
  • Produce reports and updates on work progress and contract performance.
  • Support the delivery team in achieving contractual service levels and key performance indicators.

Person Specification

We're looking for someone who is organised, confident communicating with a range of stakeholders, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.

Previous experience in scheduling, planning, administration or coordination roles would be advantageous, particularly within highways, construction, utilities, facilities management or maintenance services.

You Will Also Have

  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 40 - Monday to Friday
