Location: Southend

Salary: Up to £29,000

Job Type: Full Time | Permanent | Monday to Friday

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an organised and proactive Service Coordinator to join a growing compliance and facilities services business.

This role is ideal for someone with strong administration, scheduling, customer service, or coordination experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You'll play a key role in ensuring engineers are scheduled efficiently, client requirements are met, and service delivery runs smoothly.

Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity to develop your career within a growing organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and schedule engineer's workloads to maximise efficiency.
  • Coordinate jobs and service visits across multiple client sites.
  • Liaise with customers to arrange appointments and confirm work schedules.
  • Act as a central point of contact between clients, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Ensure all works are booked, planned, and delivered within agreed timescales.
  • Monitor job progress and update internal systems with accurate information.
  • Prepare and distribute relevant job documentation, permits, reports, and certificates.
  • Create schedules and programmes of work for larger contracts.
  • Work closely with sales and account management teams to prioritise customer requirements.
  • Manage subcontractor bookings and ensure required documentation is received.
  • Resolve scheduling issues and respond to customer queries professionally.
  • Support invoicing processes by ensuring completed works are correctly recorded.
  • Produce reports and assist with performance monitoring where required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Service Delivery team.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in administration, scheduling, coordination, planning, customer service, or operations support.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively under pressure.
  • A positive, team-focused approach.
  • Experience within facilities management, building services, engineering, maintenance, or compliance industries would be beneficial but is not essential.
