Location: Manchester and Scotland are the team hubs, but you can be based in any UK office on a hybrid basis
Salary: Up to £110,000, plus a generous bonus and car allowance. May flex for the right person
I am working with a leading consultancy to recruit a Scheme Actuary for their award-winning Pension Consolidation platform, which is one of the fastest-growing consolidators in the market. Managing over 60 schemes, this dedicated specialist team is expanding rapidly due to a steady influx of new business!

The role:
- Act as Scheme Actuary to a designated portfolio of DB schemes, delivering clear, pragmatic, and credible advice to Trustee Boards and key stakeholders
- Lead complex technical projects: valuations, benefit rectification, GMP equalisation, risk transfer, end-game strategy
- Manage client engagements and stakeholder management
- Coach and develop Analysts, Assistant Managers, and Managers
- Bring a commercial mindset and support the continued growth of the consolidation platform
The individual:
- Qualified Actuary (FIA/FFA) holding an active Scheme Actuary Practising Certificate (or eligible to obtain one immediately)
- Proven track record of advising Trustee Boards and managing Scheme Actuary appointments within UKDB pensions
- Strong technical capability with the ability to explain complex actuarial issues clearly to non-actuarial stakeholders
- Strong project management skills
- A commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial mindset
