Are you looking to build a career in insurance with a market-leading global broker?

Gallagher's Edinburgh office is seeking a Schemes Account Handler to join our successful and growing Schemes team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a specialist area of insurance, supporting a well-established client portfolio and becoming part of a collaborative, high-performing team.

This is a varied and fast-paced role that combines client interaction, policy administration, and insurer engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment, takes pride in delivering excellent service, and is looking to build a long-term career within the insurance industry.


How You'll Make An Impact

  • Managing policy renewals, new business, and mid-term adjustments across our schemes portfolio.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, our Appointed Representative network, and insurer partners.
  • Providing professional advice and guidance on policy cover and insurance solutions.
  • Responding to client enquiries by phone and email, delivering an outstanding customer experience.
  • Ensuring all client records and documentation are maintained accurately and compliantly.
  • Operating within delegated underwriting and insurer authority agreements.
  • Supporting account queries, premium collections, and credit control activities.
  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with regulatory requirements, company procedures, and industry standards.

About You

  • Experience within insurance, financial services, or another regulated customer service environment would be advantageous.
  • A customer-focused approach with a commitment to delivering great outcomes.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively within a busy team environment.
  • Confidence working with systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Progress towards, or interest in studying for, CII qualifications would be beneficial.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
