About The School - Kings Plymouth

King’s School and Nursery in Plymouth is a co-educational independent school for children aged 8 months up to 11 years old. We provide a complete education in a warm and nurturing environment.

Our strong sense of family and community, where each child is guided and encouraged to aim high and do their best both academically and personally, is something we are very proud of. Good manners and thoughtfulness for others are core values and children learn to take responsibility whilst gaining in self-confidence, self-discipline and maturity.

The school now has an exciting opportunity for an experienced School Administration Manager (Front of House) to join our fantastic team.

About Cognita

Cognita is a global leader in independent education. Founded in 2004, we are a growing community of 90 schools in 21 countries - in Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East - serving more than 100,000 students. Each of our schools are proudly unique, however our collective purpose is to create an environment where everyone can, ‘Thrive in a rapidly evolving world’.

About The Role

You will be the welcoming face of the school, based at the front-of-house reception, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth daily running of administrative operations. As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, students, and staff, you will provide a professional and friendly service while managing enquiries, communication, and general office tasks. Alongside maintaining accurate pupil records and attendance, you will support wider school functions, including admissions, marketing activities, event coordination, and HR administration. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy school environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
