Admissions & Parent Experience

You’ll manage the journey from a family’s first enquiry through to their child joining Rocket. You’ll build genuine relationships with our parents and be someone they know, trust, and can come to. We expect a high level of service and communication that is always personal, responsive, and professional.

School Operations

You’ll work alongside the Head to keep the school running brilliantly. Staff rotas and cover, calendars, resources, contractors, facilities, and the many things that come up in a busy school all fall within your world. You’ll need to be able to prioritise, make decisions, and keep a lot of moving parts moving.

Events

Rocket loves an event and we don’t tend to do things by halves. Christmas, Halloween, Sports Day, charity days, parent events, and school celebrations are all part of school life. You’ll help take the ideas and turn them into something brilliant, managing the organisation and detail that makes it all come together.

Supporting the Head & School Team

You’ll work closely with the Head and be an important link across the school. This is a collaborative role. We need someone who shares information, supports the people around them, and steps in when something needs doing. There will always be things that don’t sit neatly within a job description. At Rocket, everyone is prepared to roll their sleeves up.

That breadth is at the heart of the original Office Guru role, which combines registrar, parent liaison, Head support, staff communication, school management, events, and finance.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Someone who is:

• Exceptionally organised. You can have a lot going on without letting things slip.
• Brilliant with people. You’re warm, confident, and know what great service looks like.
• On it. You notice things, remember things, and don’t need to be chased.
• Collaborative. You communicate well, help the people around you, and understand that everyone contributes to making the school work.
• A problem solver, not a problem raiser. Your instinct when something goes wrong is to work out what we can do about it.
• Responsible. If it’s not right, fix it. If you say you’re going to do something, do it.
• Good with detail. You’re comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, systems, and the less glamorous bits that still need to be done properly.
• Willing to learn. You’re curious, open to new ways of doing things, and happy to learn the systems or processes you don’t already know.
• Ambitious about your own standards. You want to do a really good job and are always looking at how things could be done better.

You’re not simply supporting the school. You’re helping to run it.
