A specialist SEND school based in South East London is looking for an experienced School Administrator to join their team from September 2026.

This School Administrator role is ideal for an organised and reliable administrator with experience working within a school, education, or busy office environment. The successful School Administrator will provide effective day-to-day administrative support, helping the school office operate efficiently and ensuring pupils, families, and staff receive a professional point of contact.

School Administrator: The Role

As a School Administrator based in South East London, the role will involve supporting the daily running of the school office and assisting with a range of administrative tasks.

The School Administrator will be responsible for areas such as:

  • Managing general administration and school office tasks
  • Answering telephone calls and responding to emails
  • Welcoming visitors and providing a professional first point of contact
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating school systems
  • Supporting communication with families, staff, and external contacts
  • Assisting with pupil records and general school documentation
  • Providing administrative support to the wider school team
  • Handling confidential information appropriately
  • Helping ensure the school office remains organised and efficient

School Administrator: About You

The school is looking for a School Administrator who has strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload within a busy school environment.

Previous experience as a School Administrator, school receptionist, education administrator, office administrator, or in a similar setting would be beneficial.

The Successful School Administrator Will Have

  • Previous administration experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Confidence using standard office systems and IT
  • The ability to manage confidential information

Experience working in a school or education setting is desirable.
