School Administrator - Wrekin View Primary School
32.5 hours per week
0800 - 1500, Monday - Friday
Term time + 5 PD Day
Salary: Scale 4
We are seeking an organised, proactive and highly professional School Administrator to join our dedicated support team. This is a varied and rewarding role that is central to the smooth day-to-day running of the school.
As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, staff, and external agencies, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient school environment. Alongside providing high-quality administrative support, you will coordinate staff cover arrangements, manage absence administration, and support senior leaders in ensuring the school operates effectively every day.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a warm and welcoming school.
Duties include:
- Provide a warm, professional reception service to visitors, parents, and pupils.
- Handle telephone, email, and face-to-face enquiries efficiently.
- Maintain accurate manual and computerised records and management information systems.
- Produce reports, lists, and pupil data as required.
- Undertake a range of administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, correspondence, and record keeping.
- Organise meeting room bookings and assist with arrangements for school trips, events, and activities.
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail.
- Take notes and minutes at meetings when required.
- Manage stationery and exercise book stock levels.
- Support communication with external agencies and professional partners.

We are looking for someone who:
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills.
- Strong ICT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, databases, and online systems.
- The ability to prioritise competing demands and work accurately under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A professional, courteous, and customer-focused approach.
- Experience of working within an administrative environment (school experience desirable but not essential).
- The ability to build positive relationships with staff, parents, pupils, and external agencies.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately.
