We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant SENDCo (SEND Coordinator) to join our team. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will make a real difference to the lives of children and families every day.


As Assistant SENDCo, you will play a key role in:

  • Promoting and enabling the inclusive ethos of the school.
  • Leading the implementation of our SEN policy and coordinating high-quality provision.
  • Managing EHCPs and delivering small-group interventions.
  • Supporting staff training and working with external agencies.
  • Line-managing support staff and maintaining SEND records.
  • Teaching classes and groups of children including those with SEND.
  • Carrying out safeguarding responsibilities in line with KCSIE.

You will be supported by our experienced SENDCo and Pastoral Support team. The role also includes opportunities for professional development.


In this role, you will need to be:

  • A qualified teacher with experience working with SEND pupils.
  • Someone who is willing to work towards or who currently holds the National Professional Qualification for Special Educational Needs Co-ordinators.
  • An excellent communicator and team player.
  • Someone committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
