Randstad Education is currently recruiting for an Attendance Administrator to work in a School in Loughton. This role is 35 hours and we are looking for a candidate to start this role immediately.

Responsibility

  • To be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the manual and computerised pupil data records (using SIMs : experience is essential)
  • To provide general clerical support as required, including minute taking when necessary
  • To undertake filing and photocopying as required, including the basic maintenance of the photocopier
  • To undertake word processing as required using Microsoft Office : including the all attendance letters
  • To collect, collate and distribute leaflets, letters and information packs for parents and carers
  • To identify and work with individuals and groups of students, using regular attendance checks
  • To work closely with parents/carers and students to improve levels of attendance

Requirements / Skills

  • Excellent administrative and ICT skills, including attention to detail on data entry work
  • Previous experience of working in a school environment
  • SIMS experience (particularly the attendance module) gained from working in a school, voluntarily or paid
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Effective communication skills, particularly a good written standard of English
  • You will have an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to complete a new one
  • The ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
  • A patient approach towards working with children and adults alike
