Role Overview
A dedicated School Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and activities. The position requires strong driving skills, excellent communication, and a genuine interest in working with children.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate school buses and commercial vehicles safely, following traffic laws and safety protocols
- Transport students to designated locations, including schools and events
- Enforce behavior management policies and maintain order on the bus
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections for safety and cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchers
- Assist students during boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs
- Maintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidents
- Adhere to transportation regulations and safety standards

Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in bus or commercial driving; school bus experience preferred
- Strong communication skills; multilingual abilities advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge for vehicle inspections and minor troubleshooting
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred
- Ability to write reports related to transportation activities
