Role Overview
We are seeking a responsible School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school and related activities. The role involves adhering to safety protocols, managing student behavior, and providing a positive transportation experience. The driver plays a key part in ensuring student safety while creating a welcoming environment during routes.
Responsibilities
- Operate school buses and commercial vehicles safely, following traffic laws and safety regulations
- Transport students to various locations, including schools, activities, and events
- Enforce behavior policies and maintain order on the bus for passenger safety
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and cleanliness
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, staff, and dispatchers
- Assist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs
- Maintain accurate records of routes, attendance, and incidents
- Follow all transportation regulations and standards

Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in bus or commercial driving; experience with school buses is preferred
- Strong communication skills, especially with children and parents
- Mechanical knowledge for vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is advantageous
- Multilingual abilities or experience in senior care or teaching are beneficial
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred
- Ability to write reports and documentation related to transportation activities
