Salary: Grade 6: Points 17-22
Annual Salary: £37,562 – £42,123
Working Hours: 37 hours a week – 52.143 weeks per year

As part of St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust, we are seeking to appoint an exceptional School Business Manager who will play a key strategic role within our leadership team and contribute significantly to the continued success of our school.
What are we looking for:
We are seeking a highly motivated, organised and forward-thinking professional with strong leadership, financial and operational management skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders, governors and Trust colleagues to ensure the effective management of the school's financial, human resources, premises and administrative functions.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced business professional who is passionate about supporting educational excellence through effective resource management and strategic leadership.
Key responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:
- Lead and manage the school's financial systems, budgets and procurement processes.
- Monitor expenditure and provide detailed financial reports, analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Support the strategic planning and long-term financial sustainability of the school.
- Lead and manage administrative and support staff.
- Oversee HR processes, including recruitment, personnel administration and workforce management.
- Manage contracts, service level agreements and relationships with external providers.
- Support the management of premises, health and safety, compliance and risk management arrangements across the school.
- Ensure systems and procedures support efficient and effective school operations.
- Work collaboratively with Trust colleagues to ensure compliance with statutory and Trust requirements.
- Contribute to the strategic leadership and development of the school.

We are looking for someone who:
- Has excellent literacy, numeracy and ICT skills.
- Holds five GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and mathematics.
- Holds a recognised professional qualification in Business Management or a related discipline.
- Has experience of financial management, budget monitoring and financial reporting.
- Has experience of managing staff and leading teams effectively.
- Possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with children, staff, parents and external agencies.
- Demonstrates initiative, integrity and the ability to work independently.
- Can manage competing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Has a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
- Shares our commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, equality and continuous improvement.
