School Caretaker Walthamstow, East London
GBP14.25 per hour
Start Monday 17th August
Temporary, minimum 3 weeks. A valid DBS on the Update Service is essential, we can't consider applications without one already in place.
Reeson Education is recruiting a School Caretaker for a primary school in Walthamstow, East London, in the borough of Waltham Forest. This temporary booking starts Monday 17th August and runs for a minimum of three weeks, ideal for a reliable School Caretaker who takes pride in keeping a site safe, secure and running smoothly.
The Role
As School Caretaker, you'll take charge of the day-to-day upkeep of the school site, making sure the building and grounds are safe, clean and ready for staff and pupils every day. It's a hands-on role that suits an experienced School Caretaker who can hit the ground running in a new setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Opening up and securing the school site each day
- Carrying out routine health and safety checks around the building and grounds
- Handling minor repairs and general day-to-day maintenance
- Managing deliveries and liaising with contractors and tradespeople
- Setting up and clearing down for events, assemblies or exams
- Flagging any maintenance or safeguarding concerns to the school's leadership team

What We're Looking For
- A valid DBS on the Update Service, essential, no exceptions
- Previous experience as a School Caretaker, site manager or in a similar premises role
- A practical, can-do attitude with solid general maintenance and DIY skills
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable working independently
- Available to start Monday 17th August for a minimum of three weeks
